The ÖH WU Mensa Plus

When do I receive a subsidy and how much is it?
You will receive a subsidy of €2 per meal if you are entitled to Mensa Plus. You must submit a new application every semester and provide proof.

Who is entitled to Mensa Plus?
Students are entitled to use Mensa Plus if they meet one of the following requirements:

• Study grant: You receive study grant (proof by means of a notification from the responsible authority).
• BAföG: You receive BAföG.
• Exemption from prescription fees: You are exempt from prescription fees (proof by current confirmation from the social insurance provider).
• ORF-fee exemption: You are exempt from ORF fees.
• Minimum income support: You receive minimum income support.
• Compensatory allowance: You receive a compensatory allowance (e.g. orphan's pension or half-orphan's pension).
• Self-support grant: You receive a self-support grant.

Info: You must apply and provide proof for eligibility for the Mensa Plus every semester!

What do I have to do to get the Mensa Plus?
You can apply for Mensa Plus every day at the ÖH WU Counseling Center. Come by before 11:00 a.m. so that we can activate the Mensa Plus on your card in time for lunch.

How does Mensa Plus work?
The subsidy is loaded onto your student ID card and automatically deducted from your Mensa menu. So you order your meal in the Mensa as usual and pay with your student ID.

IMPORTANT: To use Mensa Plus, you must not pay via the ATM card terminal at the food counter! Mensa Plus will only be credited to you if you use the credit on your student ID card.
